3-6-9 Assignment.
In this blog post I'll be talking about my 3-6-9 video. In my video I tried to portray the feeling of time slipping away, and you should enjoy your youth because sooner or later it will go away. when it does go away you will have to grow up. my strength in this video are my use of transitions. My main weakness in this video is timing. It would have been more effective if I timed the music with the transition. I hope you enjoy this video!!

Stop Motion Filming
In this video above is all stop motion filming. What really make the video so effecting is the use of after effect and the knowledge of the Call of Duty franchise. In this video the director dicided to use two light sources and that I find interesting. This video has detail they have brain matter, blood, and most important on point sound effects. I hope you enjoy this video thanks for reading.

Digital Surrealism

“How do I create a photographic art piece, in the surrealist style that has a meaningful message?”

In my surreal photograph the surrealist elements are all in the person of the photo. Just by simply enlarging the person puts a surreal twist on things. The way I created this art piece is by taking my layers in Photoshop and putting masks, lassoing the object that I want to focus on and at the end blending all my layers. If you noticed the colors in this piece really stand out. The blue doors really stand out against the brick walls. In this art piece your eyes don’t really travel around the page, I think your eyes would just go straight to the main focus.

This photomontage has a certain message that is trying to be said. This message is that the person is so big and he’s in such a small space, this is trying to say that he doesn’t have enough freedom. Kids in this period of time have freedom but very limited freedom especially in Canada. In place like East Asia kids have no freedom and are forced to work and they only get paid a 1 a day. To me, I think that this is a message that hasn’t been looked over enough. Just let us kids be kids.

Now I’m going to recognize my flaws in my work. This concept idea could have been executed much better if I just used my time more wisely. This photomontage would have look way better if I was more precise and even if I took more and different photos. And if I have an assignment similar to this in the future I will definitely apply these things to my finished work. In my eyes I was lazy and didn’t do work.

Rule of Thirds
Rule of Thirds is a compositional technique that lets people see objects in a way that you don't see them everyday. This compositional technique is used by designers, photographers, and is used in paintings. The photo on the top left has a Rule of Thirds grid. The main focus of the photo which is the bird is set in the top and middle left sectors of the photo. As humans everyday see things as centered. the Rule of Thirds doesn't lets us do that. What the Rule of Thirds is in general is just a grid that you are suppose to imagine in your head as you take a photo. You can put it on the right third or the left third but if you center the main focus it will be a boring photo for us humans.

Compositional Techniques

I think my image is so visually interesting mainly not for its compositional techniques but for the main interest of the photo. I have added more contrast and really tried to make the red writing in this photo to stand out in the stage of editing. If I was going to change one thing in the photo when I was taking, I would change the angle of the shot. I feel that the photo could have been more complex and better. The compositional techniques that I display in this photo are The Rule of Thirds, and Framing. The thing to me that is the most attracting  in this photo is the art piece. This photo shows dominance and is more appealing than anything else in this photo. People in their daily lives see everything directly centred so The Rule of Thirds makes things that we see regularly in life from a different point of view.

BLOG POST #2 LOGO'S

In this blog post I will be talking about the abstract logo of the Mazda car company. This logo shows a 3 dimensional form in a 2 dimensional picture. This logo definitely shows value by all the shading in those spots. In my opinion I think the designer was trying to express was speed and agility by the lines that are used. The choices that the designer made are rather smart, because the gloss in this logo make in seem new and fresh, as well in the middle of this logo it looks like a bird to me which in my mind represents agility. The target audience that is used for this company logo is for people that drive.

For my typographic log I have chosen the beverage company called Coca Cola. This logo is written in a bold red. That is mainly why this logo stands out so much, and the lines that are use have such flow. When the designer was making this logo I think he/she was trying to make it seem friendly yet simple. The target audience for this logo is everyone. It’s a beverage so they want everyone to drink their beverage.
For the pictographic logo I’ve selected the sport team logo of the Philadelphia Eagles. In this logo there are bold lines. As well this logo has value that shows depth. What the designer was portraying in this logo is fierceness and aggression especially this logo is for a football team. Since this logo is for a football team the target audience is meant for football fans.

my take on Keith Haring

Keith Haring Untitled

In this art piece by Keith Haring has no imitationalism at all. The people are like dolls and don’t even have hands at all they’re like stubs. Mainly this art piece is all animated objects. Don’t get me wrong I don’t hate this piece I love this piece.

This art piece has emotionalism of love and compassion. Well that is my opinion at least. The way this art piece expresses feeling is an odd, because when a painting expresses feeling its usually by colour, instead it uses form and shape.

To tell the truth I do not know what Keith Haring is trying to say exactly, but I believe he is trying to say that all the people in the world need to help and love each other. As well I believe he is saying that we are al different

My opinion of this painting is that it is a wonderful painting. The lining that is used in the art piece is really complex. The form of these shapes are extraordinary. Overall I am a big fan of this type of art.
